A poem I should've posted yesterday

It's another one from my old poetry project- hopefully not too painful to read...

Another sleepy Sunday
over, ending a weekend of
friends, phone chats and food,
and I sigh, thinking of the
week to come.

Grateful, I know I should be,
for my job and modest income,
and satisfaction, so say
the great sages,
is the key to true wealth,
yet that spiritual I could
never be, my strange
mind full of thoughts
that won’t be quieted.
