Cool news!!!

Later this month (Monday, July 30th at 7 pm, to be exact) I will be participating in my FIRST EVER reading of Enchantia!! It is an exciting little moment, finally doing something "official" as the writer of this story. I'll be reading the whole first chapter.

I will be one of a few writers reading as part of the Writers Working series, in The Drama Book Shop in NYC (250 W 40th St). I must give a shout out to Jen Nails and David Silverman (co-hosts of the event and published authors themselves) for giving me such a great opportunity.

I've gone to a few of these readings, so I'll give you a preview: It takes place in a cool space in the basement of the bookstore, the crowds are a good size - decent but never huge - and there's just a nice, chilled out vibe. The pieces read (which can be rated anywhere from g-r) can be almost anything- fiction and nonfiction, comedic and serious. So basically, there's something for everyone. And as nothing read has been published, you're given a sheet to give feedback to the writers (if you want to). I'm definitely looking forward to that, feedback can be sooo helpful.

There are always a lot of super-talented, mostly published writers who read. I may well be the least accomplished among them, which makes this all both exciting and humbling.

I know I'm giving you the news a bit ahead of time, considering it's only the beginning of July. But this gives you plenty of time to SAVE THE DATE, and tell any interested friends. It would really be awesome to see some of you all in the crowd! There will be more on this soon, once the details are up and confirmed on the official site. In the meantime, have a great week!
