New Pic

What's up? I'm still around, just haven't had much to say. But anyway, I finally did what I've meant to do for a while and added a new picture to my profile. It's not the clearest but I got tired of seeing myself smirking in those sunglasses. And if you didn't notice, the picture matches with my blog's design. And in the picture, my shirt matches the flowering tree. Coincidence? Or all part of some brilliant coordinating scheme?

As intrigued as you are(n't), I'll tell you about the pic. It was taken in the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens in the early spring. Yes, there is actually nature in Brooklyn, you just have to know where to find it. For any of you living in the NY area, it is sooo worth the trip, especially at that time of year. The whole place is in bloom. There's a stunning Japanese garden, filled with cherry blossoms. This was taken in a different area, by a magnolia tree near all these ornate looking fountains. Ah, for spring... (pardon the drama but if you live around here I'm sure you, alas, understand).

And since I'm on the topic of pictures thought I'd post this while I was at it:



This was from the reading back in July. These are only two of the several friends that showed up. They were seriously half the audience, it was great. Not that it was a particularly large audience, but it was still cool standing up there and looking out at all these friends. I hope I'll have more moments like that in the future (minus the being sick part).
