Woops...did I miss another week?

The answer is yes, indeed I did. So to make it up to you, I'm going to do a whopping two posts this week.

Here's a happy tune to get you all started. My favorite Billy Joel song, and so very unpredictable of me, I know.

This post is really more of a preview post, to let you know what may await you later this week. I've got two possibilities. Either a bizarre New York story or a longer than usual Enchantia post. I'm still undecided, so if one of them intrigues you more let me know...

Friday fun

This post really has nothing to do with anything, but I got this in an email yesterday and it's too funny not to share. That and I'm once again out of ideas, but at least I'm keeping you entertained. So just watch it already!

Picture Post, Part 3

I'm in Ohio, toward the end of another visit. I usually come twice a year, to be with my family over some of the Jewish holidays. It's been a nice, chilled out time, which I'm really trying take in because life in NY is usually anything but chilled.

Since I gave you a little piece of my own childhood during my visit back in April, in the form of these quotes from my 7th grade composition book, I'll give you a little more now, this time in a picture from when I was around 13:

That's my brother Raffy, and our dog Willy, who died a few short years ago. Doesn't he look like he's smiling right along with us? It's one of my favorite pics from that time- the happiness almost bounces off the frame. I just had to share it with you all.

Help I can't think of a title

Sorry for not posting last week. Very bad writer's block...I was just totally out of ideas and decided better not to post anything than something stupid. Although that certainly hasn't stopped me in the past.

I'm not doing so much better this week (hence the title), but it's time for another Enchantia post anyway, which makes it easy. Copy and paste...gotta love it. Here's an old snippet, and there's also a link to another one in that post. They're not directly related but will give you a little more background. And here you go:

The quest wasn’t going to be easy. With all the different paths and possibilities, we realized it could take weeks, even months, till we rescued the unicorns. But that didn’t scare us. We would bring glory and honor to Enchantia, and even started to imagine the celebration after we came back with the unicorns.
“The queen will shower us with gifts and make us honorary princesses!” Mialee said dreamily.

“There will be a parade, and all of Enchantia will be there, cheering for us!” I imagined.

We quickly snapped out of this fantasy, though - the quest hadn’t even started.
